Samsung Vibrant will be launched on July 15

Only a few days ago, we let you know in our resource that the Samsung Captivate was going to be launched on AT&T in the US on July 18. The Captivate is a designer Galaxy S phone re-branded for the AT&T network that is getting increasingly popular day by day. In fact, the Samsung Vibrant also holds a candle to the Galaxy S phone in certain features but the latter is a T-Mobile branded. However, the T-Mobile version appears to be put on sale a few days ahead on time on July 15.

To be precise, the actual date for the launch of T-Mobile was set on July 21, but things took a drastic turn and the new release date was scheduled a week prior to the said date.

In the event, a change in the release date comes to pass for sure, it will be a coincidence as on the on the same date the Motorola DROID X is going to be released. Well, this suggests that Samsung/T-Mobile are attempting to put an alternative in the way of would-be DROID X customers.

Samsung Captivate has already been in the headlines in reviewing resources over the time. It comes integrated with a fast processor as well as GPU that can reallocate 3-X more triangles per second comparatively to the Google Nexus One. The 4-inch AMOLED display screen seems to be second-to-none whist the aesthetic look of the gadget is also attention grabbing.

Some hype still hover round denoting that the Galaxy S- series gadgets will get an Android 2.2 update about a month later to its launch although it is still in the dark if the carriers will customize the Android OS code which usually lingers updates.
