Dell Streak to get a late release by July

The highly anticipated Dell Streak has been finally released in the UK market only the last week at O2 and is being held a high esteem from everywhere. However the handset is going to hit the US market by late July and will cost around more or less $ 500.

UK users who own and avail of this lovely Dell handset have burst into bloom and flushed with ecstasy, one of them recently penned and posted a comprehensive review of this 5-inch display tablet. The blogger who owns the Dell Streak remarks, “With the new Dell Streak, I must say that I have got much more than my basic investment to but it and will recommend others to buy this second-to-none, high-tech handset”.

The Dell Streak features a broad line of features including Google Android 1.6 OS, a 5-inch Snapdragon Processor, 5-inch multi-touch WVGA (800×480 pixels resolution) display, HDMI out, 3G/WiFI/Bluetooth radios, 2GB internal storage and microSD flexible memory card support that backs up to 32 GB memory.

Many of the aforesaid features of the Dell Streak are analogous to the HTC EVO 4Gm, a competitor in terms of display resolution, processor, HDMI out, microSD card. The Dell Streak however gains an upper hand for having HTC EVO 4GM for having bigger display size, sharper camera resolution, and voguish operating system. In spite of the features, the higher resolution camera and 2.1 Google Android operating system are the jewel in the Crown features that spark the attention of most people to choose the Dell Streak.

The display screen of the Dell handset makes it much lesser than a Smartphone while the EVO 4G is still rather pocketable. Engadget gives you an idea about Google Maps Navigation on the Dell Streak vis-à-vis to Nexus One, but I would like to see how the HTC EVO 4G seems instead.

  1. I think this could be a real competitor for iPad. Let’s hope Apple will have to face them real hard.
