LG released Newspaper Replacements

When Tablet devices are fighting over another to give better eBook reading software LG is brining e-paper system that would change the whole idea about e-Reading in a new innovative way. They are going to release two paper edition of 9.7” & 19” which can display any eBook or similar digital data on its huge display but the extra added facility is that this e-paper will be flexible and foldable so that anyone can read this e-paper like an actual new paper hard copy.

LG already made flexible e-papers which are currently being used in Amazon Kindle device but being bound in a hard metal case, that display doesn’t have the facility of folding neither does it support color. LG is upgrading the e-Ink technology to support color in the e-paper plus this will take far less power consumption than its predecessors. These huge displays are scheduled to be coming into market later this year and being used for mass production in the beginning of 2011.

There hasn’t been any announcements from LG regarding these 0.3mm thin & 130 gm. Weighted e-papers so far but if coming cheap, this huge digital screens have a great probability to be hugely popularity in the future as the hard copy newspaper replacements.
