Microsoft added Exchange ActiveSync for Windows Phone 7

Microsoft is preparing all the way to make their upcoming Windows Phone 7 a complete device, adding Exchange ActiveSync in the Hotmail servers is one of its steps that they should have been taken long ago to make the Hotmail users more comfortable. This new facility will enable push email support to use better synchronization for any compatible mobile device.

Exchange ActiveSync is already available for Apple iPhone 3G & Higher and for any Android device running Android 2.1 Éclair that enables them to synchronize with Gmail pop server and with any PC or Laptop in workplace. As Microsoft is planning to release the Windows Phone 7 mainly for business users as a smartphone, the support of Exchange ActiveSync was one necessary criterion which will help in better push mail forwarding and enable the Hotmail server to wireless backup the calendars, schedules, dates and contacts from any supported mobile which was not possible so far.

Although Gmail is the mostly used email client but in previous times it was originally Hotmail who introduced wireless webmail service, but for many current advantages, users shifted from Hotmail to Gmail, which Microsoft is trying to repair and make the Hotmail as the leading email client again.
