Samsung Captivate will have Android 2.2

A screenshot from AT&T’s support page gives us reasons to believe that Samsung Captivate will have as operating system Froyo.

Even if Samsung promised a quick upgrade of Galaxy S, when they released it 7 months ago, they didn’t made any step in this direction, even if, meantime, Android 2.3 is on the market already and they’ve announced the Android 2.4 to come soon.

Thou’ the support page of AT&T, where they are explaining how you can find your phone operating system version, gives us some hope, since this could mean an upcoming upgrade to Android 2.2. Yet, we should not take these rumors too seriously since there’s nothing else out there to sustain them.
