Smartphones exceeded PCs sales in Q4 of 2010, for the first time ever

Concordant to an article recently published on ReadWriteWeb, smartphones exceeded personal computers’ sales in the last quarter of 2010, this being the first time ever when something like this happened.

The statistics that confirm this are saying that Nokia sold over 100 million units worldwide, in 2010, occupying the number one position in the Top 5 sold smarthpones. On the second position we can find Research In Motion with almost 49 millions units sold and on the next position, following them closer, we can see Apple, Samsung and HTC. In totally, there were sold over 302 millions smartphones units comparing with only 92.1 million units personal computers, worldwide.
