Apple exploring 6-inch iPad/iPod touch for Fall 2011?
Even though Apple has been loath about releasing a smaller iPad, it seems that they are working to some new project regarding the possibilities to release for the fall of this year two new models of iPad and iPod touch with a display of 6 inches. More specifically, reports are saying that Apple is working to a model that will have a display of 5.7 inch and to one that will have just below 6 inch.
It is a known fact that Apple explores different possibilities of sizes before releasing a new model. Yet, Steve Jobs said that Apple is not going to release any mini-tablet so we have certain reasons to doubt about these rumors.
The pro reasons to believe these rumors are that a 6 inch tablet will improve gaming much more and will help Apple to compete with other upcoming gaming consoles announced for this year. The speculated release date corresponds with the PSP 2 unleashing called NSP, which will have a very large display and touch interface.
Earlier this month a report from iLounge said that Apple is actually working on a smaller iPad.
