iPhone 5 will hold two SIM cards for dual phone lines?
Due to some new reports coming from the Chinese blog iDealsChina, the IPhone 5 will hold two SIM cards supporting this way, dual phone lines. This looks somehow strange and we think that iDealsChina may got the information a bit wrong from their source. But if they are right, than this is great news.
Rumors are saying that the upcoming iPhone 5 will include a Qualcomm Gobi Cellular data chipset. This provides both connections GSM and CDMA on the same phone. Maybe this is what they think when they said that iPhone 5 will have dual SIM cards. They also added that the IPhone 5 will support dual phone lines, which contradict our theory.
If this is true I think it will be a big step for IPhone 5 because dual SIM comes in handy for everybody’s personal and business life. Most people will find useful to have both service from Verizon and AT&T.
iDealsChina is a site that brought us images of the IPhone 5 design and the 4 inch IPhone bezel. They also had some mistakes in the past when they announced that the IPhone Nano will launch in 2008.
