4-, 5-Inch Samsung Galaxy Player Coming to U.S. in Spring

Samsung Galaxy Player is coming to U.S. Samsung didn’t divulge any details about when, or if the device is going to be available in the U.S. for sure, but on Wednesday Samsung gave out parts of its plan.

First of all two models are coming to the U.S: the Galaxy Player 4 and Galaxy Player 5.

Samsung will show the devices at the Spring Product Showcase, which will take place in New York. They also confirmed that both devices will be available in U.S. this spring, but they didn’t say anything about the price, or the exact availability.

Basically the Galaxy Player 4 is a Galaxy S phone, but it doesn’t have phone functionality and 3G connection. Some specs about the Galaxy Player 4: it has a 4-inch screen, Flash support, two cameras, GPS, stereo speakers, Wi Fi and a full access to the Android Market. The Galaxy Player 5 has the same specs except, this one has a 5 inch screen LCD.

Something good about these two phones is that they have Android 2.2, and Samsung claims that they can be upgraded to the 2.3 (Gingerbread version).

Galaxy S was a well- received phone and we have high hopes for the Galaxy Player because is in competition with the iPod touch.
